Request from Stanton Vale School Nurse – Helen Farrell

As we approach this time of year where students are receiving their nasal flu vaccines as a precaution could I please ask that if your child receives the nasal flu vaccine from the hospital or GP that you inform school so that the appropriate measures can be taken as we have a small number of students and staff that have lowered immunity as the nasal flu vaccine is classed as a live vaccine it may pose a small risk to those within school.

Please be reassured that to the general population the nasal vaccine does not pose any health risk.  If you have any queries please contact myself Helen Farrell or the immunisation team at Clay Cross on the number above. Thank you.
